Birkirkara and Valletta were among the most active in announcements in the past week, with key extensions and a few new faces. San Gwann also made key strides in securing consistency in their team as they seek to take the battle to the top four.
Birkirkara Secure Signatures
Birkirkara continued making movement in the window tying down first-choice goalkeeper Janice Xuereb for another season, while also ensuring that Luke Camilleri continues as physical trainer. Both signed on for a further season.

In the meantime, the team also secured the signature of two youngsters. Eunice Micallef joins from Valletta, having been one of the key starters for the Citizens last season in defence. She will leave a gap for Valletta to fill in.
Meanwhile, Birkirkara also secured the signing of speedy youngster, Jasmine Camilleri, from Mtarfa. The sixteen year old brings plenty of game time from youth and senior level. Though nursing her way back to full fitness, she appears to be looking to make the next step as she heads to one of the giants in the women’s game.

Valletta Investing In Youth
The Citizens appear to making strides in extending the depth of their youth squads. They secured the signature of Jolie Dalli Stellini who will be protecting the goal for the U21 team. The goalkeeper formerly played for San Gwann.
The team also confirmed the extensions of Shania Mifsud and Lisa Cauchi, with the youngsters continuing on after a triumphant 2024/25 season at youth level.

There were more signings for the U16 squad who will continue under the direction of Julian Buhagiar, as Kesia Farrugia, Aaliyah Giardina and Eliza Tabone will also be donning the Valletta shirt in the upcoming season.
San Gwann Announce Extensions
Meanwhile, San Gwann will continue to enjoy the services of Fatma Al Girbi who has been a stalwart for the team at both youth and senior level. Cassidy Mihalic has also extended her time with the club.
