Valletta FC Women have confirmed that Georgiana Mifsud and Larissa Debono have made the transition from Raiders. Meanwhile, the Greens have announced that Mirayah Aquilina will return to the club following her loan with Swieqi United. Mtarfa FC have confirmed that Simon Spiteri will continue at the helm.

Mifsud and Debono Confirm Switch

The club confirmed that both Georgiana Mifsud and Larissa Debono will be repping the City kit next season. Mifsud has steadily risen through the ranks and will feature for the team in the Assikura Women’s League, which will be led by Denis Guerra. She was an important pillar in defence for Raiders Lija last season and her performances earned her a senior debut with the senior Malta Women’s National Team last July against Haiti.

Larissa Debono has also completed the switch. The nineteen year old will feature in both the senior league and also in the Assikura Women’s Youth League. Last season, she also made appearances in both leagues for Raiders Lija FC, as well as in the Assikura Women’s Knockout, often entrusted with defensive wing duties.

Mgarr Welcome Back Aquilina

The Greens have confirmed that Mirayah Aquilina will be donning their shirt next season, following a loan spell with Swieqi United. During her time with the Owls she made a number of appearances under then coach Judith Kuipers in the right-back role, including in a victory over her parent club. Her return to the Greens will boost their depth in defence as they strive to improve on their third-place finish from last season.

Mtarfa Confirm Spiteri

The blues have confirmed that Simon Spiteri will continue to lead the women’s team for another season. Under his guidance last year Mtarfa converted two wins over San Gwann FC. The side has been primarily focused on developing younger players, with Spiteri giving debuts featured to a significant number of young players throughout the season.
