by The Maltese forward was announced on the club’s social media channels earlier today, confirming her departure from Chievo Women. Her arrival follows that of defender Francesca Carleschi and midfielder Arianna Cattuzzo.
The team will be competing in Serie C this season and pre-season is well underway. Their friendly fixtures indicate a serious intention to contend for promotion next season. They welcomed Serie A team Como Women in a match that ended 0-5 in favour of the latter. Next Saturday will see the team welcome AC Milan, following which they will battle against Willis’ former team Chievo Women. The final two pre-season friendlies will be against Riva del Garda and finally the U20 team of Inter.
The addition of Willis will boost the forward line and her experience in higher leagues will certainly improve the side’s prospects of promotion. Standing at a height of 180 cm the Maltese forward will be a threat from set-pieces, while also supporting the team with her hold-up play.
