Marcelle Returns To Valletta, Ylenia Carabott Joins Fylde Women

Valletta announced the return of Marcelle de Oliveira Julio for the upcoming season, while welcoming Clint Wells in goalkeeping coach duties. San Gwann have added Duncan Abdilla to the coaching setup as physical trainer. Ylenia Carabott has moved to AFC Fylde Women and will be competing the north division in England.

Valletta Welcome Back Marcelle, Sign Clint Wells As Goalkeeper’s Coach

City have confirmed that Brazilian forward Marcelle de Oliveira Julio will return to the club next season after having missed out on the latter half of the campaign. Picked out through the reality program Starscout, the Brazilian netted eight times for Valletta last season, before her season was cut short before Christmas.

Valletta will be elated to see the return, which confirms that the team will retain all three Brazilians signed last season through Starscout, having already confirmed the extension of Eduarda Martins Souza and goalkeeper Micka de Souza Ramos. The club have also hinted at the extension of three other players in the team.

Meanwhile, Valletta also confirmed the signature of Clint Wells as a goalkeeper’s coach with the team. Wells make the jump from Pieta’ Hotspurs, having formed part of the coaching setup that led to the team’s fourth place finish in the BOV Challenge League last season.

San Gwann Welcome Physical Trainer

San Gwann have appointed a physical trainer and massage therapist with the team in Duncan Abdilla. A new face in the women’s game, Abdilla will join Julian Camilleri’s technical staff as the side bids to build on last season’s upward stride.

Ylenia Carabott Signs With Fylde

Forward Ylenia Carabott is heading up north in England, having been announced as a new signing at Fylde Women for the upcoming season. The team will be competing in the FA Women’s National League – Division One North. She joins the side after having spent the last campaign with London Seaward in the Division One South East, with the team finishing in eighth place on twenty-nine points.
