The Owls confirmed that Jessica Dimech will be extending her stay with the club. Last season, Dimech featured extensively for the senior team, as centre-back, as a right-back, and also impressed in front of the defence in the Assikura Women’s Knockout. This, in addition to her duties with the U21 side which she captained. Her performances have also caught the eye of the national team coach Manuela Tesse, who most recently fielded her in the centre-back role alongside captain Emma Lipman in the fixture against Haiti.

The club also announced that Michaela Cachia will be extending her stay, alongside Kim Fava and Maria Vella. Like Dimech, these players featured in the U19 and senior squads. Cachia and Vella both faced lengthy injuries last season and will be hoping for a better run next year. The latter finished on a high having scored in the final senior league match of the season against Raiders FC after coming off from the bench. She will hope to take that form into next season, together with the rest of those extending their stay.
