Raisa Costantino will be playing her football in the Italian Serie C next season, donning the shirt of Tharros. It will mark the Maltese goalkeeper’s first foray into a foreign league. Tharros formally announced her transfer earlier today.

Last season Costantino was a pivotal contributor to Hibernians on their return to the league, in which they managed a fourth place finish and also reached the final in the Assikura Women’s Knockout. The eighteen year old also made appearances in the Assikura Women’s Youth League. Additionally, Costantino also appeared for the U19 national team in their EURO Qualification matches.

She becomes Tharros’ third signing of the window, following newly recruited midfielders Marta Serra and Daniela Quidacciolu. Serra joined from fellow Serie C side Su Planu Calcio 1985, while Quidacciolu previously played in the Serie B with Sassari Torres Women.
