Justyne Caruana has opted to move to San Gwann after spending the last six months of last season on loan with the club. Meanwhile, the Owls confirm that Tammy Falzon will be extending her stay with the side.
San Gwann’s Latest Acquisition
Goalkeeper Justyne Caruana becomes the second official signing for the side, following the announcement of Ilona Sultana last week. Caruana makes the switch from Raiders FC, confirming that neither her nor Giulia D’Antuono will be donning the Valletta FC goalkeeper shirt next season.
Caruana became a fixture in goal for San Gwann following her loan move from Raiders FC, last January. The nineteen-year-old made consistent appearances in the Assikura Women’s League and the Assikura Women’s Youth League, while also appearing between the sticks for the side’s only appearance in the Assikura Women’s Knockout. The youngster has also featured in the youth national team.
Tammy Falzon extends stay at Swieqi United
The Owls have announced another extension, being that of Tammy Falzon. Her announcement follows four additional re-signings confirmed the day before. The eighteen-year-old has made several appearances in both the U21 and the senior teams, including supporting the senior team lift their first major trophy last May. Additionally, the defender has made several appearances in the youth national team and was also recently also called up with the senior team selection.
