Excitement is building toward the final UEFA Women’s Nations League fixtures, with a few nations already announcing squads. Here’s all the latest details on where to watch the fixtures in Group C1 live, including emerging details on the scheduling & ticket information for the final home match of Malta.
Broadcasting of First Fixtures
Malta currently tops group C1 and needs one win to confirm promotion into League B, which would earn the country a place to compete in the upcoming European Qualifications. However, nearest contenders Latvia will aim for a win against Andorra while hoping that Moldova can down the Maltese team. This would earn the Latvians a chance to fight for the spot in the direct confrontation on the final match-day in Malta.
Friday 1st December will see Latvia open this window’s fixtures in Group C1 hosting Andorra, with kick-off at 12:00 CET. The match is expected to be broadcast on TV4+. It will be followed by the match to be held in Chisinau, where Moldova will welcome Malta at 15:00 CET.
The Sporting Fan can confirm that the match between Moldova and Malta, hosted in Chisinau, will be broadcast on TVM Sport+ and online. It is achieved as a result of discussions between the Public Broadcasting Unit, the Malta Football Association (MFA) and the Moldova Football Association, with the broadcast confirmed by the MFA. This presents a positive step in promotion as the first away match to be broadcast on the local Maltese channel.
Final Matchday
Things will come to a head on Tuesday 5th December, where Andorra will host Moldova, while Malta will be hosting Latvia. All matches in League C have been scheduled at 16:00 CET, in what is understood to be a decision dictated by the competition’s governing body, UEFA.
Probed on the possibility of changing the fixture time between Malta and Latvia, the Malta Football Association informed The Sporting Fan that efforts to move the kick-off time to a more convenient slot for the general public to attend the match in the stadium, were made by the General Secretary. However, it is understood that there is very little chance of a change in kick-off times, since they are being dictated by UEFA.
The match between Malta & Latvia is also expected to be broadcast on the national channel TVM Sport+, while The Sporting Fan is informed that the possibility to purchase match tickets online will be made available in the upcoming days. Further details to be announced in due course.
