Valletta announced the recruitment of goalkeeper Andressa De Souza Ramos and midfielder Eduarda Martins Souza. They become the second and third Brazilian signings for the side, following last week’s announcement of forward Marcelle de Oliveira Julio.
There was much speculation as to who would fill the boots left by Giulia D’Antuono, which were further fuelled when Justyne Caruana was confirmed with San Gwann. Denis Guerra has opted to recruit twenty-two year old Brazilian, Andressa De Souza Ramos, as the team’s first choice goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the team’s midfield has also been boosted through the addition of twenty year old Eduarda Martins Souza. Technical director and coach Denis Guerra handpicked the duo himself, much as he did the forward Marcelle de Oliveira Julio, as part of the STARSCOUT reality docuseries that will air on TVM Sport as from October. The trio were chosen after carrying out trials for more than three hundred players.
Marcelle de Oliveira Julio was already on the scoresheet against Mtarfa, while the newly unveiled duo could feature in Valletta’s upcoming game against Mgarr United which will take place this Saturday at the Mgarr Ground at 18:00.
