San Gwann have sought further boosts to their attacking unit in the mid-season window. The team announced the arrival of striker Reham Mellah who hails from Morocco, while winger Cristina Hili makes the swap from Hibernians.

Mellah is eligible to play in both the Assikura Women’s League and the Assikura Women’s Youth League, making the striker a threat on both fronts. Meanwhile, Cristina Hili will be joining the senior team after making three senior appearances for Hibernians this season and also formed part of the Paolites’ team that reached the Assikura Women’s Knockout last season.

The Yellows have been netting goals mainly through summer signing Andjela Kricak (7) and Shania Gheiti (5), while a number of other players such as Chaimaa Tourki and Rabab Mhalli have also been heavily involved. However, they will hope that the arrival of Mellah will continue to improve their conversion rate.

Meanwhile, Cristina Hili’s arrival boosts the depth in the wide roles, while opening the possibility for changes in system as well. Furthermore, although still young, the team will be hoping that Hili will hit the ground running having already some experience in the local senior league.

The two signings could be in action in tomorrow’s direct clash with Lija Athletic, which will be played at Dingli Ground, 16:30.
